What is an Opportunity Inbox?

An opportunity inbox is an email client that links every message, meeting and call to the sales deal it belongs to · so the inbox shows each thread's stage, value, last reply and risk signals without the rep leaving their mail. It replaces the time-sorted inbox with a deal-aware one.

01

The short version

Your normal inbox sorts by time, because time is the only thing it understands. A six-figure renewal and a newsletter sit shoulder to shoulder, equal and anonymous.

An opportunity inbox starts from a different premise: every email knows its deal. Open a thread and the opportunity is right there · account, stage, amount, close date, the last real reply, and the signals that say healthy or ghosting. Same view, live, queried the moment you look.

02

How it works · sources in, signals out

An opportunity inbox reads the systems a rep already lives in · mail, CRM, calendar and call notes · and matches each item to the deal it belongs to. It then computes signals on top: which deal has gone quiet, which promise is overdue, which renewal is slipping, where the next step actually is.

Crucially, it doesn't copy your pipeline into yet another database and let it rot. The CRM stays the system of record. Your mailbox stays the source of truth. The opportunity inbox reads them both and renders what matters where you already act.

03

What it is not

Not a CRM. It reads your CRM live and writes back only on an explicit rep action · a field you edited, a contact you approved. Never automated, never in the background.

Not just a faster email client. Speed is table stakes. The difference is that the inbox knows what each thread is worth and which deals need you today.

Not an autonomous robot. AI is on-demand only · it drafts a brief, a reply or a follow-up when you ask, then you review, edit and send. Nothing leaves your hands unseen.

Why it matters

Selling stopped being about activity and became about attention.

The reps who win aren't the ones who send the most email · they're the ones who know, at any moment, which deal is slipping and where the next step is. An opportunity inbox puts that knowledge on the surface where they already work.

Questions

Asked, answered.

How is an opportunity inbox different from a normal inbox?
A normal inbox sorts by time. An opportunity inbox sorts and annotates by deal · every thread carries the account, stage, value, last real reply and health signals it belongs to, so you work the pipeline without leaving your mail or hunting through a CRM.
Is an opportunity inbox a CRM?
No. The CRM stays the system of record. An opportunity inbox reads it live and renders what matters next to each email; it doesn't replace Salesforce or copy your pipeline elsewhere. Writes back happen only on an explicit rep action, never automatically.
Is it the same as a fast email client like Superhuman?
No. Fast email clients optimise the speed of processing mail. An opportunity inbox optimises for the deal · it knows which thread is a six-figure renewal and which has gone quiet, because it fuses mail, CRM, calendar and call notes onto the opportunity. See the full comparison.
Does an opportunity inbox send email automatically?
Not in OppBox. AI is on-demand only · it drafts a brief, a reply or a follow-up when you ask, and a human always reviews and presses send. Nothing is generated in the background and there is no autonomous send path.
