Superhuman is a superb general inbox, and it does more for sales than most fast inboxes. This is an honest map of what it covers, what a rep still carries in their head, and what a deal-aware inbox adds.
For speed, genuinely yes. Superhuman · now part of the Grammarly-built Superhuman suite since the 2025 acquisition · gives a rep a very fast keyboard-first inbox, AI drafting and triage, reminders, read statuses, and on the Business plan a CRM sidebar showing Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive context.
What it doesn't do is organise the inbox around deals. Stage, amount, close date, deals going quiet, renewals slipping · that layer still lives outside the inbox, in the CRM and in the rep's head. That gap is what an opportunity inbox exists to close. For a full head-to-head, see OppBox vs Superhuman.
Credit where due · a good deal. The signature speed and keyboard-first flow. AI throughout: Ask AI to query your mail, Auto Summarise, Auto Drafts and instant replies, Auto Labels for triage. Read statuses and a Recent Opens feed that surfaces who's engaging with your mail. Reminders and follow-up nudges so threads don't silently die. Snippets for repeatable outreach, Split Inbox to keep prospect mail separate, and team features for shared visibility.
On the Business plan, the CRM integrations show contacts, leads, accounts and opportunities from Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive next to the thread · genuinely useful context that saves a tab-switch. Verify the current feature set and plan boundaries on superhuman.com; the suite has been moving quickly since the Grammarly acquisition.
A rep's day isn't email volume · it's a pipeline. Even with a fast inbox and a CRM sidebar, the rep still has to: open the CRM to check stage, amount and close date before replying with confidence; notice, unaided, that a deal has gone quiet for three weeks; remember the promise made in a thread two Fridays ago; keep a private list of renewals coming up; and log activity back to the CRM by hand.
None of that is a criticism of Superhuman · it's structural. A general inbox sorts by time and sender. It cannot sort by what's at stake, because it doesn't model deals. The sidebar shows you a deal when you go looking; nothing in the inbox tells you which deals need looking at.
In an opportunity inbox, every email arrives wearing its deal: account, stage, amount, close date and signals, on the thread itself, live from Salesforce or HubSpot via per-user OAuth · queried live, never copied into a shadow database. Pipeline views replace mental lists: Ghosted shows deals where the last real reply is worryingly old, Stage walks the pipeline, Renewals watches the book, Today is the working queue.
Deal signals do the noticing for you · gone quiet, overdue promise, slipping renewal. And AI drafting works from real deal context: on-demand briefs, replies and follow-ups that a human always reviews and sends. Nothing is ever auto-sent. If your CRM is Salesforce, Gmail + Salesforce integration covers how the live connection works.
As of mid-2026, Superhuman's Salesforce integration (Business plan) surfaces CRM records · contacts, leads, accounts and opportunities · in the inbox, so a rep can see who they're talking to and which opportunity they belong to without switching tabs. HubSpot and Pipedrive get equivalent treatment.
It's a read-context model: the CRM appears next to the mail. It's not a deal-organised inbox · no views built from pipeline state, no risk signals computed across your book, no renewal watch. If the sidebar is enough for how you work, the Business plan delivers it well. If you want the inbox itself to know the pipeline, that's a different product shape. Verify integration details and plan requirements on superhuman.com, as they change.

A fast inbox helps a rep do email. A deal-aware inbox helps a rep do the job.
Keep Superhuman-class speed · then let the inbox carry the pipeline: the renewal you'd have missed, the champion who went dark, the promise that's now overdue. That's not a sidebar. It's a different sort order for your working day.
